About KidsSheets.net

KidsSheets.net helps parents and teachers make handwriting practice sheets in seconds. Type a name or a few words, choose a font, style and number of lines, and download a printable PDF.

Our goal is simple: clear, friendly worksheets that are free to use, with no sign-up and no personal data collected by the generator. Everything is created in your own browser, so the names you type stay on your device.

What you can make

The site covers the first stages of handwriting. Children can trace their own name with the name tracing generator, practise joined writing with cursive worksheets, learn letters with the letter formation worksheets, and write on blank handwriting paper. There are also ready-made word sheets for the days of the week, months of the year, counting 1 to 20 and body parts.

How the worksheets are designed

Every sheet uses three-line writing guides, with a top line, a dashed middle line and a base line, so children can see how tall each letter should be. The fonts are chosen for clear, school-style letter shapes, and you can pick dotted, outline or solid gray letters depending on how much support your child needs. Each line ends with a star to colour, which gives young writers a small reward for finishing.

Guides for parents and teachers

Alongside the generators, our blog has practical guides on teaching cursive, helping a child write their name and pre-writing activities for preschoolers. The worksheets are for personal and classroom use.
